At Black Orchid Firearms, our goal is to ensure your order arrives promptly and performs exactly as intended. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and a clear, fair return process that allows you to shop with confidence.

 

Please carefully review the applicable return policy for your purchase below. By completing a purchase from Black Orchid Firearms, you agree to the terms outlined in this Return, Refund, and Warranty Policy.

 

**Important:** All returns must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Maryland firearm transfer laws and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulations.

 

Firearms & Lower Receiver Transfers

 

**Please inspect all firearms and lower receivers thoroughly at your transferring Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) before accepting transfer.**

 

Once a firearm or lower receiver has been transferred to you by the FFL, returns are subject to the terms outlined below. Products must be returned in original condition and used only as intended.

 

Failure to Complete Transfer / Unclaimed Firearms

 

If a firearm or lower receiver is not transferred or picked up within **30 calendar days of arrival at the receiving FFL**, including but not limited to:

 

* Failed background check

* Maryland State Police disapproval or delay where transfer cannot be completed

* Legal inability to possess or receive the firearm

* Refusal to complete transfer

* Failure to submit required Maryland documentation

* Customer non-response or abandonment

* Any other circumstance preventing lawful transfer

 

Black Orchid Firearms reserves the right to cancel the transaction and recall the firearm.

 

Approved refunds will be issued **less**:

 

* Any non-refundable processing or transfer-related fees

* Original shipping charges

* A **$30 return shipping fee**

* A **15% restocking fee**

 

Customers are solely responsible for understanding Maryland firearm eligibility requirements prior to purchase.

 

New Firearms & New Lower Receivers

 

**All sales of new firearms and new lower receivers are final.**

 

Because firearms are inspected and transferred through an FFL, new firearms are **not eligible for return once transferred**, except where required by law.

 

Most new firearms are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Customers experiencing product defects should contact the manufacturer directly for warranty service.

Black Orchid Firearms Certified Used Firearms

 

3-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

 

Black Orchid Firearms Certified Used Firearms are eligible for our **3-calendar-day “No Questions Asked” Return Policy** beginning on the date of physical transfer from the FFL.

 

Eligible returns will receive a refund of the purchase price **less**:

 

* Any applicable fees

* Original shipping charges

* A **$30 return shipping fee**

* A **15% restocking fee**

 

Returned firearms must:

 

* Remain in substantially the same condition as transferred

* Show no evidence of misuse, abuse, unauthorized modification, or negligence

* Include all original packaging and accessories, when applicable

 

Mechanical Defect Returns – 7 Days

 

Black Orchid Firearms will accept returns of **Certified Used Firearms with verified mechanical defects** within **7 calendar days of transfer** for a full refund.

 

For approved mechanical defect claims:

 

* **Black Orchid Firearms will cover return shipping costs**

* **No restocking fee will apply**

 

After **7 calendar days**, all sales are final.

 

Non-Certified Used Firearms

 

Black Orchid Firearms will accept returns of **Non-Certified Used Firearms with verified mechanical defects** within **3 calendar days of transfer**.

 

For approved mechanical defect claims:

 

* Customers will receive a **full refund**

* ** Black Orchid Firearms will cover return shipping costs**

* **No restocking fee will apply**

 

After **3 calendar days**, all sales are final.

 

Ammunition, Magazines, Optics, Suppressor Components, Knives, Hunting Gear, Range Equipment & Accessories

 

**All sales are final. No returns or exchanges are accepted.**

 

Due to safety, liability, and product integrity concerns, Black Orchid Firearms does **not** accept returns on:

 

* Ammunition

* Magazines

* Optics

* Holsters

* Knives

* Upper receivers

* Suppressor components

* Hunting gear

* Range gear

* Firearm accessories

* Clearance or special-order items

 

Many products may still qualify for manufacturer warranty coverage. If you need assistance contacting a manufacturer, Black Orchid Firearms is happy to assist.

 

**Defective merchandise received damaged or non-functional upon delivery must be reported immediately.**

 

Suppressors / NFA Items

 

**All suppressor and National Firearms Act (NFA) item sales are final.**

 

Because suppressors are federally regulated items requiring ATF approval and tax stamp processing, **returns, cancellations, and exchanges are not accepted once paperwork has been submitted**, except as provided below.

 

ATF Form 4 Denials & Returned Without Action (RWA)

 

ATF Denial

 

If an **ATF Form 4 application is denied**, Black Orchid Firearms will issue a refund for the purchase price, **less**:

 

* A **25% processing fee**

 

**100% of applicable sales tax will be refunded.**

 

Returned Without Action (RWA)

 

If an application is marked **Returned Without Action (RWA)** by the ATF, Black Orchid Firearms will resubmit the application **at no additional cost** after the issue has been resolved.

 

Customers who choose not to resubmit their application will receive a refund of the purchase price, **less a 25% processing fee**.

 

Black Orchid Firearms Branded Merchandise & Apparel

 

Black Orchid Firearms branded merchandise and eligible apparel may be returned within **30 calendar days of receipt**.

 

Return Conditions

 

Returned items must be:

 

* Unworn

* Unwashed

* Free from odors, stains, pet hair, smoke exposure, or damage

* In original condition with tags attached, where applicable

 

Black Orchid Firearms provides **free return shipping** on eligible branded merchandise and clothing returns.

 

Lost or Damaged Shipments

 

If your package is lost or damaged during shipment, please review our **Package Protection Policy** or contact us immediately for assistance.

 

Claims for shipping-related issues should be reported promptly after delivery.

Refund Processing

 

Orders paid by credit card will be refunded to the original payment method after:

 

1. Receipt of merchandise

2. Inspection and approval of the return

 

Depending on your financial institution, refunds generally appear within **3–5 business days after processing**.

 

Exchanges

 

Black Orchid Firearms does **not** offer direct exchanges.

 

To obtain a different item, simply place a new order. Due to inventory fluctuations and limited availability, we recommend placing replacement orders promptly.

 

Manufacturer Warranty Disclaimer

 

Many products sold by Black Orchid Firearms include a manufacturer’s warranty. Customers are encouraged to contact the manufacturer directly for warranty claims when applicable.

 

Black Orchid Firearms reserves the right to assist customers in facilitating warranty claims but does not independently guarantee manufacturer warranty outcomes.

 

Return Refusal & Fraud Prevention

 

Black Orchid Firearms reserves the right to deny, limit, or refuse returns that:

 

* Do not comply with this policy

* Show signs of misuse, abuse, or modification

* Are damaged by improper care or negligence

* Are returned outside the allowable return period

* Were not purchased directly from Black Orchid Firearms

 

Non-qualifying returns may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. When applicable, return shipping charges may be billed to the payment method used for purchase.
